ArenaNet's Cupcake Crusade
I was excited for the dragon festival to come around this year as my old pc died the day before the birthday celebration started and I was unable to get cupcakes. As per last year, yesterday I did the quest chains and got a few cupcakes from Sheng Yi. I get on this morning surprised to see that he no longer offers cupcakes. I then saw on wiki that anet snuck a ninja cupcake nerf into those bug fixes they did. Any thoughts/theories on why they did this?

Not to hijack the thread but on the theme of yesterday's patch, the elementalist headgear is still not visible at the login screen. Am I misunderstanding the notes?

They stop an exploit, and suddenly it's trolling. It speaks volumes to how responsive ANet is to the community that we are this spoiled rotten LOL

How is it an exploit? It's been in the game for years. I'd always assumed it was there on purpose.

Maybe it has something do with being named Birthday Cupcakes.

yes I believe it was galie who said that the first year they were part of the dragon festival was a mistake, and they just left it in since they really didnt feel like fixing it--last year, well, yeah ooooops!....so they finally got around to fixing something (only took 2 years--that pretty good for them)....
they were NOT intended to be part of the dragon festival, it was an oversight that they got left in for the last 2 years...the oversight has been fixed.

As the question has been answered, and little else can be said apart from opinions, whinging, rants and other nonsense..
